CIRCULAR
GUIDING RATES OF SOME MARITIME CHARGES PAYABLE BY LARGE-TONNAGE SHIPS ARRIVING AT CAI MEP - THI VAI PORT
THE MINISTRY OF FINANCE
 
Pursuant to Ordinance No. 38/2001/PL-UBTVQH10 of August 28. 2001, on Charges and Fees;
Pursuant to the Government's Decree No. 118/2008/ND-CP of November 27, 2008, defining the functions, tasks, powers and. organizational structure of the Ministry of Finance;
Pursuant to the Government's Decree No. 24/ 2006/ND-CP of March 3, 2006, amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No. 57/2002/ND-CP of June 3, 2002, detailing the Ordinance on Charges and Fees;
In furtherance of the Deputy Prime Minister's opinions in the Government Office's Official Letter No. 2889/VPCP-QHQT of May 5. 2010, on port dues payable by container ships arriving at Vietnamese ports;
At the proposal of the Ministry of Transport in Official Letter No. 5101/BGTVT-TC of July 28, 2010, on port dues payable by container ships arriving at Vietnamese ports, and Official Letter No. 6797/BGTVT-TC of September 29. 2010, on contribution of opinions to the draft circular on maritime charges and fees;
The Ministry of Finance guides rates of some maritime charges payable by large-tonnage ships arriving at Cai Mep - Thi Vai port as follows:
Article 1. Subjects of application
This Circular applies to cargo ships of a tonnage of 50.000 GT or more, engaged in international maritime activities and calling at Cai Mep - Thi Vai port.
Article 2. Rates of some maritime charges
Cargo ships referred to in Article 1 of this Circular shall, pay some maritime charges at the following rates:
1. Tonnage charge: -Entering: USD 0.0192/GT -Leaving: USD 0.0192/GT
