DECISION
RATIFYING THE ORIENTATION FOR VIETNAM STATISTICS DEVELOPMENT TILL 2010
THE PRIME MINISTER
Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government of December 25, 2001;
Pursuant to Directive No.28/CT-TTg of August 19, 1998 on enhancing and modernizing the statistical work;
At the proposal of the General Department of Statistics in its Report No.428/TCTK-VP of July 3, 2002,
DECIDES:
Article 1.- To ratify the orientation for Vietnam statistics development till 2010 with the following principal contents:
1. Objectives:
To renovate Vietnam statistics in both content and form with a view to promptly supplying socio-economic information with full contents, all-sided coverage and reliable quality in the best service of the Party’s and State’s requirements in the cause of national construction and development, meeting to a fuller extent and in a more convenient manner other subjects demand for information; taking Vietnam statistics to the advanced level of the regional countries in conformity with international practices, actively contributing to the implementation of the country’s international economic integration roadmap.
