DECISION
ON VIETNAM’S COORDINATING AGENCY FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE INTERNATIONAL MONETARY FUND’S GENERAL DATA DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM
THE PRIME MINISTER
Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government of December 25, 2001;
At the proposal of the General Director of Statistics in Report No. 602/TCTK-TH of September 9, 2002 and comments of the Minister of Planning and Investment, the Governor of Vietnam State Bank, the Minister of Finance, and the heads of the concerned agencies,
DECIDES:
Article 1.- To assign the General Statistics Department to act as Vietnam’s coordinating agency for participation in the International Monetary Fund (IMF)’s General Data Distribution System (hereafter called the GDDS for short).
Article 2.- The agencies participating in the GDDS include:
1. The Ministry of Finance.
2. The State Bank of Vietnam.
3. The Ministry of Planning and Investment.
4. The Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs.
5. The Ministry of Health.
6. The Ministry of Education and Training.
7. The Committee for Population, Family and Children.
8. The State Securities Commission.
9. The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.
10. The Ministry of Post and Telecommunications.
11. The Ministry of Trade.
12. The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
13. The Ministry of Industry.
14. The Ministry of Communications and Transport.
15. The Ministry of Construction.
16. The Ministry of Culture and Information.
17. The Committee for Physical Training and Sports.
Article 3.- The coordinating agency shall have the following functions and tasks:
1. To appoint national coordinators for contacts with the ministries, branches and the IMF regarding all matters related to the participation in and the implementation of the GDDS.
