DECISION
OF THE PRIME MINISTER CONCERNING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE STEERING COMMITTEE FOR DIRECTING THE ACTION PROGRAMME ON IMPLEMENTING DIRECTIVE 58-CT/TW OF THE POLITBURO REQUIRING THE STRENGTHENING OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (IT) APPLICATION AND DEVELOPMENT IN THE CAUSE OF NATIONAL INDUSTRIALIZATION AND MODERNIZATION IN THE 2001-2005 PERIOD.
THE PRIME MINISTER
Pursuant to the Law on Governmental Organization dated December 25, 2001;
Pursuant to Decision 81/2001/QD-TTg dated May 24, 2001 of the Prime Minister approving the Action Programme on implementing Directive 58-CT/TW of the Politburo requiring the strengthening of information technology (IT) application and development in the cause of national industrialization and modernization in the 2001-2005 period;
Pursuant to the Conclusion Note of the Central Party Secretariat No.73-TB/TW dated August 1, 2002 governing the implementation of Directive 58-CT/TW;
At the proposal of the Minister of Science and Technology,
DECIDES:
Article 1. The Steering Committee for directing the action programme on implementing Directive 58-CT/TW of the Politburo requiring the strengthening of information technology (IT) application and development in the cause of national industrialization and modernization in the 2001-2005 period (hereinafter referred to as the Steering Committee) is hereby established to assist the Prime Minister in directing the implementation of this programme.
Article 2. Members of the Steering Committee include:
1. Chief: Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Khiem
2. Standing deputy chief: Minister of Posts and Telematics
3. Deputy chief: Deputy Minister of Science and Technology
4. Other members include one leader from each of the following ministries, branches, agencies and localities:
Ministry of Planning and Investment
Ministry of Finance
Ministry of Education and Training
- Ministry of Culture and Information
- Ministry of Trade
- Ministry of Public Security
- Ministry of Defense
- Ministry of Industry
- Ministry of Interior
- Governmental Office
- Party Steering Committee on IT
- Science, Technology and Environment Committee under the National Assembly
- Ha Noi People’s Committee
- HCM City People’s Committee
- Da Nang People’s Committee
- Vietnam Software Association
- Electronics – IT Association
