 THE PRIME MINISTER

Decision No. 1826/QD-TTg dated October 9, 2013 of the Prime Minister on adjusting the lending interest rate to several policy credit programs applicable at Vietnam Bank for Social Policies

Pursuant to the Law on Organization of Government dated December 25, 2001;

Pursuant to Decree No. 78/2002/ND-CP dated October 4, 2002 of the Government on Credit towards the poor and other objects under preferential treatment policy;

At the proposal of the Chairman of the Board of Vietnam Bank for Social Policies in the document No. TTr-NHCS dated August 6, 2013 and Document No. 80/NHCS-HĐQT dated October 2, 2013,

DECIDES:

Article 1. To adjust the reduction of lending interest rate applied to several objects under preferential treatment policy at Vietnam Bank for Social Policies as follows:

1.     The preferential lending rate applied to households near the poverty line is 120% of the lending rate towards households in poverty line regulated in every period. This Decision supersedes the regulation in Clause 1, Article 3, Decision No. 15/2013/QD-TTg dated February 23, 2013 of the Prime Minister on Credit for  households of marginal poverty.

2.     The lending interest rate of Program on clean water and environmental sanitation of rural areas is 9.6%/year (0.8%/month). This regulation supersedes the one mentioned in document No. 436/2008/TTg-KTTH dated March 25, 2008 of the Prime Minister on the adjustment of lending interest rate applied to Program on clean water and environmental sanitation of rural areas.
