DECISION
ADJUSTING THE BOUNDARY AND RENAMING BIEN LAC - NUI ONG NATURE CONSERVATION ZONE
THE PRIME MINISTER
Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government of September 30, 1992;
Pursuant to the Law on Forest Protection and Development of August 19, 1991;
At the proposal the president of the Peoples Committee of Binh Thuan province (at Report No. 2422/UBBT-NLN of December 30, 1999 and Official Dispatch No. 2168/UBBT-NLN of December 11, 2000); and opinions of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (at Official Dispatch No. 459/BNN-KL of February 16, 2000), the Ministry of Planning and Investment (at Official Dispatch No. 572-BKH/NN of January 28, 2000), and the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment (at Official Dispatch No. 182/BKHCN-MT/MTg of January 25, 2000),
DECIDES:
Article 1.- To adjust the boundary of Bien Lac-Nui Ong nature conservation zone. To separate Bien Lac zone with a total area of 12,154.5 hectares from Bien Lac-Nui Ong nature conservation zone and rename it Nui Ong nature conservation zone with a total natural area of 25,468.5 hectares.
Article 2.- To assign the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to direct and assist the People�s Committee of Binh Thuan province in:
- Elaborating the project on Bien Lac multi-purpose zone with an area of 12,154.5 hectares, ensuring the following major targets: investment in the protection, restoration and development of the forest and submerged land ecological systems of Bien Lac zone.
- Elaborating the project on Nui Ong nature conservation zones buffer area in strict accordance with the provisions of the Prime Ministers Decision No. 08/2001/QD-TTg of January 11, 2001, issuing the Regulation on the management of special-use forests, protection forests and production forests, which are natural forests.
