DECISION
ON THE COMPULSORY ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE COMPATIBILITY WITH VIETNAMESE STANDARDS, APPLICABLE TO HOME-MADE CRASH HELMETS FOR MOTORBIKE RIDERS
THE MINISTER OF SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY AND ENVIRONMENT
Pursuant to the Ordinance on Goods Quality of December 24, 1999;
Pursuant to the Government’s Decree No. 22/CP of May 22, 1993 on the tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment;
Pursuant to the Government’s Decree No. 86/CP of December 8, 1995 on the assignment of responsibility of State management over goods quality;
Pursuant to the Government’s Resolution No. 10/2001/NQ-CP of August 31, 2001 on its August regular meeting;
At the proposal of the General Director of Standardization, Measurement and Quality Control,
DECIDES:
Article 1.- Crash helmets domestically made for use by motorbike riders (hereafter called crash helmets for short) are those goods subject to the compulsory announcement of their compatibility with Vietnamese standard TCVN 5756-2001 "Safety helmets for motorbike and moped riders."
Article 2.- The announcement of crash helmets compatibility with Vietnamese standard TCVN 5756-2001 shall have to comply with the Provisional Regulation on the announcement of goods compatible with standards, issued together with Decision No. 2424/2000/QD-BKHCNMT of December 12, 2000 of the Minister of Science, Technology and Environment.
