THE PRIME MINISTER
Decision No. 825/QD-TTg dated May 29, 2013 of the Prime Minister approving the planning for Hau Giang hi-tech agriculture zone by 2015
Pursuant to the Law on Government organization dated December 25, 2001;
Pursuant to the Law on Construction dated November 26, 2003;
Pursuant to the Government's Decree No. 08/2005/ND-CP dated May 24, 2005 on construction planning;
At the request of the Minister of Construction,
DECIDES:
Article 1. Approving the Planning for Hau Giang hi-tech agriculture zone by 2025, in particular:
1. Scope and boundary
Pursuant to the Prime Minister’s Decision No. 1152/QĐ-TTg dated August 27, 2012, Hau Giang hi-tech agriculture zone includes 04 communes (Vinh Vien, Vinh Vien A, Luong Tam, and Luong Nghia) belong to Long My district – Hau Giang province. This zone occupies an area of 5,200 hectares. Its boundary is the outer perimeter of the adjacent channel system and the administration boundary with Kien Giang province. In particular:
- The north is bordered by Muoi Thuoc channel (adjacent to DT930 road);
- The south is bordered by Long My II channel and Dam channel;
- The east is bordered by Muoi Ba channel;
- The west is border by the boundary with Go Quao district – Kien Giang province.
2. Planning stage
- Short-term stage by 2020;
- Long-term stage by 2025.
3. Planning targets
Specifying the policies on establishing a hi-tech agriculture zones in Hau Giang province as well as the center of Ca Mau Peninsula; boost industrialization and modernization of agriculture and rural areas.
Ensure the sustainable development and competitiveness of hi-tech agriculture zones in order to satisfy the need of development in the market economy and international integration.
Form a basis for construction and investment management in Hau Giang hi-tech agriculture zone.
4. Characteristics
This is where signature hi-tech agricultural products of Ca Mau Peninsula are produced such as high-grade rice, freshwater aquaculture products, livestock, mushrooms, microorganism products, and fruit trees.
This is where research, application, transfer of processing technology, and hi-tech agricultural production take place.
