AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING A NUMBER OF ARTICLES OF THE ANTI-CORRUPTION LAW
Pursuant to the 1992 Constitution of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, which was amended under Resolution No. 51/2001/QH10;
The National Assembly promulgates the Law Amending and Supplementing a Number of Articles of the Anti-Corruption Law.
Article 1. To amend and supplement a number of articles of the Anti-Corruption Law as follows:
1. Article 73 is amended and supplemented as follows:
''Article 73. Steering Committee for Corruption Prevention and Combat
Steering Committee for Corruption Prevention and Combat
1. The Central Committee for Corruption Prevention and Combat is headed by the Prime Minister and has the responsibility to direct, coordinate, inspect and urge activities of corruption prevention and combat nationwide. The Central Steering Committee for Corruption Prevention and Combat is assisted by a standing section operating on a full-time basis.
2. Provincial/municipal Steering Committees for Corruption Prevention and Combat are headed by provincial/municipal People's Committees presidents and have the responsibility to direct, coordinate, inspect and urge activities of corruption prevention and combat in their respective localities. Provincial/municipal Steering Committees for Corruption Prevention and Combat have assisting sections.
3. The organization, tasks, powers and operation regulations of the Central Steering Committee for Corruption Prevention and Combat and provincial/municipal Steering Committees for Corruption Prevention and Combat are provided for by the National Assembly Standing Committee at the proposal of the Prime Minister.
2. Article 74 is amended and supplemented as follows:
''Article 74. Supervision of the work of corruption prevention and combat
Supervision of the work of corruption prevention and combat
1.The National Assembly and the National Assembly Standing Committee shall supervise the work of corruption prevention and combat nationwide.
