1. To advise and represent clients on matters related to the establishment and maintenance of the rights to inventions, utility solutions and industrial designs in Vietnam and abroad, including:

a) To compile, submit and pursue patent applications and utility solutions related to all technical and technological fields such as: chemistry and biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, health, electricity and electricity. informatics, mechanics and metallurgy, etc.;

b) Compiling, submitting and pursuing applications for registration of industrial designs;

c) To settle issues related to the procedures for appealing against decisions related to the applications for inventions, utility solutions, industrial designs, opposing filed applications, amending, extending, suspending or canceling the validity of the protection title;

d) Performing searches related to inventions, utility solutions or industrial designs;

e) Advising on the protection, validity and breach of inventions, utility solutions and industrial designs;
f) To maintain the validity of patents for inventions, utility solutions and industrial designs;
g) To record transfer, licensing and changes related to inventions, utility solutions and industrial designs.
2. To advise and represent clients on matters related to the establishment and maintenance of the ownership of trademarks and Internet domain names in Vietnam and abroad, the right to use the appellations of origin of goods, including:
a) Assessment of the possibility to register and use trademarks, appellations of origin, internet domain names;
b) Consultancy regarding the selection and use of trademarks, appellations of origin, internet domain names;
c) Look up information on the registration and use of trademarks, appellations of origin, internet domain names;
d) Filing and pursuing the application until the issuance for the protection title; Advising and conducting legal proceedings to record any modifications related to the application.
e) Consulting and carrying out legal procedures for the extension of protection titles; Advice on the use of registered trademarks;
f) Advising and conducting legal procedures for the amendment of the Title of Protection, including amendments to the title, address of the owner of the title, transfer, license, etc.
g) Providing legal advice to domestic and foreign clients on issues related to copyright protection and related rights, including:
- Look up information related to copyright registration;
- Advising and representing clients to carry out procedures for registration of copyright;
- Legal consultancy, representing clients in the negotiation and drafting of contracts for the use of works, contracts for transfer of works and other contracts related to copyright;
- Appeal decisions related to the issuance of copyright certificates.
h) Consultancy and legal representation for domestic and foreign clients involved in the enforcement of copyright and related rights, including:
- Advising and coordinating with state authorities in settling disputes, dealing with infringements of copyright;
- Legal advice related to IT law: copyright protection for computer software, popular works over the internet, etc.
3. To advise and represent clients in complaints related to the establishment of industrial property rights, including:
a) To submit complaints about decisions on refusal to grant protection titles for industrial property objects;
b) Oppose the application for the title of protection of industrial property objects.
