3. Học bao lâu thì hết mất gốc tiếng Anh?
Đa số người Việt Nam thuộc trình độ A1 – biết 50 – 200 từ vựng hoặc nhiều hơn (ví dụ love, like, you, student….) nhưng không có phản xạ khi nghe nói, không biết đặt câu cho chuẩn… Chúng ta gọi chung là mất gốc.
Tính trung bình một người học ngôn ngữ mới phải nắm khoảng 500-600 từ vựng + một số cấu trúc ngữ pháp đơn giản mới có thể giao tiếp cơ bản các tình huống hàng ngày – tương đương trình độ A2 (chào hỏi, giới thiệu bản thân, hỏi đường, mua sắm,..). Khi đó mới coi là hết mất gốc.
Đối với yêu cầu cao hơn –trình độ B1: nói một đoạn văn, giới thiệu một địa điểm… thì cần khoảng 1000 – 1500 từ vựng. Đây là trình độ cơ bản.
Trình độ B2: có thể thuyết trình, phản biện: cần khoảng 2500 từ vựng. Đây là trình độ khá.
Trình độ C1: Giao tiếp trôi chảy thì cần tối thiểu 3500 từ trở lên.
Trung bình thời gian học 600 từ vựng cần 60 – 100 giờ. Học 1500 từ cần khoảng 150 – 200 giờ.
Nếu học với tốc độ mỗi ngày 1 tiếng, như vậy chỉ cần khoảng 3 tháng là bạn có thể giao tiếp cơ bản rồi. Sau 6 tháng có thể đạt trình độ B1, chăm chỉ là B2.
Tuy nhiên các con số đưa ra chỉ là ước đoán, điều quan trọng không phải là số giờ học, mà là ở số giờ bạn thực sự tập trung học. Thời gian học là vài tháng hay vài năm, có thể là cả đời, nhanh hay chậm là phụ thuộc vào bản thân bạn
