1. Hướng dẫn làm dạng bài dùng từ gợi ý viết thành câu hoàn chỉnh
Trường hợp đoán được ý nghĩa câu:
Bước 1: Xác định nghĩa sơ qua của câu từ những từ gợi ý.
Bước 2: Loại những phương án không phù hợp về nghĩa.
Bước 3: Dựa vào tiêu chí ngữ pháp, văn phong, sắc thái... chọn phương án tối ưu.
Ví dụ: Chọn phương án (A hoặc B, C, D) ứng với câu đúng nhất được tạo ra bằng những từ cho sẵn:
"happiness"/ "family"/ "life"
A. My family brings me happiness in life.
B. Happiness comes from my family in life.
C. Life in my family brings happiness.
D. My family brings happiness in life.
Bước 1: Xác định nghĩa. Câu trên diễn đạt ý nghĩa "Hạnh phúc đến từ gia đình trong cuộc sống."
Bước 2: Loại phương án không phù hợp về nghĩa. Phương án C không chính xác về cấu trúc câu và không diễn đạt ý nghĩa được mong muốn.
Bước 3: Chọn phương án tối ưu. Phương án D có cấu trúc câu chính xác và diễn đạt ý nghĩa một cách rõ ràng, văn phong tự nhiên và dễ hiểu.
Trường hợp không đoán được nghĩa của câu:
Bước 1: Đọc 4 phương án, loại bỏ các câu sai về mặt ngữ pháp.
Bước 2: Loại các phương án không hợp lý về nghĩa.
Bước 3: Chọn 1 phương án đúng nhất xét trên các mặt về yếu tố văn hóa, sắc thái tình cảm…
Ví dụ: Chọn phương án (A hoặc B, C, D) ứng với câu tốt nhất được tạo ra bằng những từ cho sẵn:
"saving"/ "money"/ "important"/ "future"/ "plan"
A. Saving money is important for future plans.
B. Money saving is importantly for plans in the future.
C. Saving for money is important in plans for the future.
D. For plans in the future, saving money is important.
Bước 1: Loại bỏ câu sai ngữ pháp. Câu B và C sai về mặt ngữ pháp vì không sắp xếp các từ một cách hợp lý trong câu.
Bước 2: Loại câu không hợp lý về nghĩa. Câu D không truyền đạt ý nghĩa một cách rõ ràng và không tự nhiên.
Bước 3: Chọn phương án tối ưu. Câu A diễn đạt ý nghĩa một cách rõ ràng và tự nhiên nhất: "Tiết kiệm tiền là quan trọng cho các kế hoạch trong tương lai"
