The trading room of an exchange where securities are bought and sold. The floor of the New York Stock Exchange is three stories high and about the size of a football field. Some 2,000 men are present each day including members (about SOO Stock Exchange employees and 750 member firm employees). Telephones were first installed on the trading floor November 13, 1878.
